Dr. Henry Pillai is the founder of Rumah KIDS. He was heart broken when he saw babies being dumped and children being neglected and even abused. This situation, arising from dysfunctional families, inspired him to start a home where such children could be raised in a loving environment. This dream in Dr Henry Pillai's heart became a reality in 1991, when the first child was admitted to Rumah KIDS in Klang. Since 1991 more than 300 children have grown up in Rumah KIDS. The work has since grown beyond Klang to USJ where the home for boys is located.
